Well, its been a while since we posted on the new plant. Its been a journey navigating a lot of the financial and insurance issues related to the fire, not to mention working on the new plant layout and process flow design.
The Diamond team has done an amazing job working under challenging conditions and we are excited for this next chapter to begin. We are proud of our ability to exceed product quality standards and consistently increase production capacity while working in our temporary facilities.
As previously posted, we thought the new plant build would be wrapped up in Q1-2018, but we were just not ready. Fortunately, all of that is behind us and we have begun construction.
The high level construction plan is:
1. Cap the existing foundation / repair the damaged concrete.
2. Deliver and erect the new prefabricated building.
3. Finish build out (electrical, plumbing, IT, shop offices, employee break and training areas).
4. Deliver and install the new fabrication equipment (winders, tooling, material handling, etc).
5. Move in, train everyone in our new and improved methods and start production in the new facility.

| Despite the rain, we were excited when this lone piece of equipment showed up! We new we were about to get going on construction. |

| After the slab was cleared of loose debris, and existing foundation anchors removed, the concrete was broken out and we began to rough in plumbing and special drains for our new shop design. |

| Simultaneously, rebar was being placed in preparation for the foundation cap. It will be a 4″ cap on top of our existing foundation. Footprint will be the same as our prior shop, 35,000 ft2. |
