Did you know that Diamond Fiberglass owns a fleet of specially designed trailers for transporting FRP tanks? Primarily used for transportation of oversized and permitted loads, these trailers are equipped to securely hold tanks up to 15′ in diameter and up to 50′ long.
Some of our trailers are equipped with low rail saddles, which allow the tanks to ride lower to the ground. This often reduces shipping costs because it allows the equipment to be delivered via a shorter route than traditional flat bed, step deck or double drop trailers would have to use.
Large diameter tanks being delivered for completion in the field (even as large as 30′-35′) can be made narrow enough for road transportation by carefully squeezing the sides together, a process called oblation.
Very few FRP fabricators own and operate their own delivery fleet but there are advantages for Diamond’s customers. The trucks are driven by experienced Diamond Fiberglass drivers who understand FRP tanks and how to deliver them without damage. Also, for oversized loads, Diamond is often able to ship the equipment at a lower price compared to the hired freight market.
Our custom fleet of delivery assets is just another reason why Diamond Fiberglass is the leader in engineered FRP tanks.
